Captain's Chair Companion ("the app") is built and published by Matthew Weiler (Agimus Code). This page explains what data the app collects and how it's handled. In plain terms: we don't collect any of your data, and nothing you enter leaves your device unless you explicitly tell it to sync to a third-party service you've configured.
None. The app does not include any analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or telemetry. The developer receives no information about your use of the app.
The app stores the following locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:
This data never leaves your device unless you initiate a sync to a third-party service (see below) or back up your device through Apple.
If you enable BoardGameGeek sync, your BGG username and
password are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device with
the access attribute
kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly.

These credentials are sent only to BoardGameGeek's own servers when you log a play or perform a test connection. They are never sent to the app developer.
The app optionally interacts with one third-party service:
If you do not enable BGG sync, the app makes no network requests.
The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any data from users of any age, per the "Data collected by the app developer" section above.
All app data is local. To remove it:
